Joan Boutilier
Joan, aka "Boots", came to River City Sound Chorus in 2008 as an accomplished Sweet Adelines director. Under her direction, River City Sound has competed five times at the International level, most recently in 2018 in St. Louis, MO and Regional Champions in 2019 in Appleton, WI. Since 1989, Joan has been very active in Sweet Adelines International. Her degree in Music Education from the University of New Mexico was a springboard for her many accomplishments which include Certified Sound Judge, Approved Candidate Judge in Expression, chorus and quartet coach, and a member of the International Faculty. Joan has served on many committees at the International level as well as serving on the International Board of Directors, and is currently President of Sweet Adelines InternationJoan is also an accomplished quartet singer, winning the International Championship as Tenor with 2008 Quartet Champions, Four Bettys. When she’s not busy with Sweet Adelines, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, Eric, and her 3 adult children and granddaughter. |
