"Under the Harvest Moon" Fundraising Event for Area Seniors

The River City Sound Chorus shared their fabulous voices of "four-part harmony" to entertain local seniors at the "Under the Harvest Moon" gala on October 11, 2025. The event was held at the Belvidere Moose Lodge and raised $16,000 to expand senior programs at Senior Connections, of Belvidere, IL.
The event sponsors, Kelly Hillan and Bernie Marinelli, met for the first time as members of River City Sound Chorus and sing Lead together. They were introduced by Director Joan Boutilier who knew they shared more than their voice parts. Kelley Hillan, Director of Senior Connections and Bernie Marinelli, Director of Satori Cares, combined their interests and committment to chorus and senior care to create this wonderful event.
"We are incredibly grateful to the River City Sound Chorus for their beautiful performance and to Satori Cares for their generous sponsorship," said a representative from Senior Connections. "This donation will help us continue to expand our programs and services, ensuring our seniors can thrive in their golden years." Kelly Hillan
