Joan Boutilier, Director Joan comes to River City Sound as an accomplished Sweet Adeline director. She has directed the Choral-Aires Chorus in Region 3 since 1996. Choral-Aires consistently places in the Top 10 when they compete in Sweet Adelines International competitions. She became a Master Director in 1997. Her degree in Music Education from the University of New Mexico has been a springboard for her many accomplishments in the Sweet Adeline organization: Sound Judge, Quartet and Chorus Coach, and a member of the Directors Education Committee. Joan sings tenor with the Four Bettys, the 2008 Sweet Adeline International Quartet Champions. When she’s not directing TWO choruses, coaching, singing with the Four Bettys, or judging, you’ll find her spending time with her husband, Eric, and her children, Janet, Joey and Elise. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kim Anderson, Assistant Director Kim is the baritone section leader in River City Sound. She recently assumed the position of Assistant Director and is honing her skills as a director by working with our front-line director, Joan Boutilier. Kim has directed the chorus at many local events, and the chorus appreciates her dedication and her skills. |
